I can’t remember for the life of me where I saw this idea first. I just wish I thought of it! But, that won’t stop me from sharing this quick apple cinnamon roll bake. Thank you to whoever thought of this. We love you.
The question is, is the apple pie cinnamon roll breakfast or brunch or dessert? Try it in the morning and at night, and you decide. Make this apple dream today because you probably have the stuff on hand.
It is two (yes, only two!) ingredients.
Cinnamon Roll Apple Dessert
8 canned cinnamon rolls (save the icing that came in the can for the end)
One can of apple pie filling. That’s it!
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Spray baking dish with olive oil spray
Cut each cinnamon roll into four pieces (I use kitchen scissors) and place them sporadically in the pan.
Add the apple pie filling around the cinnamon roll dough- it will not fill up the pan.
It will be between 25-30 minutes of baking (the cinnamon rolls are golden brown).
Drizzle the icing over the apple pie cinnamon rolls
*Note, you could put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. One of us love this addition, and three of us didn’t think it made a huge difference.
Everyone will love this. Throw that plastic wrap back in the drawer. You will not have leftovers. Enjoy!
