But, I was so excited to see bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese. I had it on my list to make this recipe. I was so glad I got an early Christmas gift!

Dates Wrapped in Bacon With Goat Cheese Recipe
Ingredients:
12 pitted dates (make sure to remove the pit)
3 oz creamy goat cheese
6 slices of bacon
toothpicks
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
- line baking sheet with parchment paper- easy cleanup!
- Cut slits lengthwise in the dates and fill with 1-2 teaspoons of goat cheese. *Depends on the size of date
- Wrap each date with the bacon 1 1/2 times and stick a toothpick through the middle to hold them together.
- Place on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes
- After 10 mins, flip the dates onto the other sides. *This ensures the bacon is crispy. Bake another 10 mins.
- If the bacon is still not thoroughly cooked, let them cook for another 5-10 mins. *This depends on the thickness of the bacon so the cook time can vary. Keep an eye on the dates if you bake them longer.
